Here Am I

Here am I.  Here I am.  What can I say about myself that would be remotely interesting?

Well, I was born in South Korea and left when I was three.  We lived in Iran for 2.5 years before immigrating to Canada.  I grew up in Calgary, Alberta in the foothills of my beloved Rockies.  I’m the oldest of 3 girls and one boy.  They all now live in California while I live, well, West of Virginia. 🙂  My dad passed away 10 years ago of liver cancer – my most heartbreaking event of my life.  He was one of my best friends in the last years.  I miss him dearly.

I am married to my best friend, Anthony.  We met while I was living in Korea teaching English.  Funny thing is, our families lived down the street from each other in Calgary.  It made it very convenient when we were getting married there.

We have been blessed with 5 beautiful children and they stay home with me all day long, every day, 24/7. We homeschool them and sometimes I feel like I will run away but then I see them piled on top of each other like little puppies laughing their heads off and I am happy again.

My deepest desire is to live in light of eternity.  To seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.  To love Him, to glorify Him, to please Him and to enjoy Him.  He is the reason I live and move and have my being.  I love reading about Him, talking about Him, blogging about Him.  I pray that others may be moved to praise Him by seeing Him work in our lives, by witnessing His power ‘showing up in my weakness’.

Julie, this is Heidi from the puritanboard 🙂 I realised that I turned off my pm’s shortly after pm’ing you (as I plan to be busy off the board for the next few days and don’t like to appear rude by not answering pms!). So I have been rude, trying not to be rude. 😦

That is a beautiful little girl in the picture with you; I’ve enjoyed visiting your blog.
